My YouTube / LinkedIn / Twitter url isn't accepted on the application form

Modified on Tue, 19 Nov at 11:59 AM

We're only accepting certain url formats in some of the application fields at this time. You can find the fields and their required formats below:

YouTube URLs:
Require full classic YouTube link such as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBGIQ7ZuuiU. We do not currently accept YouTube shorts, or short URL links. Make sure that you video is marked as "unlisted" in the settings.

You can easily convert the YouTube shorts URLs to full youtube URLs. Use the videoID value from the original short's link to generate a "normal" YouTube URL. For example:

https://youtube.com/shorts/eBGIQ7ZuuiU?feature=share

Extract the "eBGIQ7ZuuiU" and insert it at the end of the standard pattern:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBGIQ7ZuuiU

LinkedIn URLs:
Requires full URL to your personal LinkedIn account such as https://linkedin.com/in/your-name

Twitter URLs:
Requires full URL to your twitter account such as https://twitter.com/techstars or https://x.com/techstars
